Why does my computer randomly need a product key?

The other day i went to turn on my computer and after i started it up and window came up with a black screen in the background. It said something about not being able to use the product key anymore and i need to either buy a new one or enter a different one. i have an option to activate it or do it later...when i click do it later my computer comes on with a black background and writing in the bottom right hand corner saying this copy of windows in not genuine. I have a lump and dimple on my jaw -- appt. w/ doc in a couple of days. Cancer?

I know lumps w/ dimples in are deemed cancerous because the lump is considered rooted to deeper tissue. My doc prescribed me antibiotics, and the lump has reduced in size, however, it has hit a plateau and now a dimple has formed over it and it appears bruised. The lump is move-able and not painful. Wondering if anyone could share similar experiences.

I need some band/friend help?

So I need to bail out of this band. It's a thrash metal band, but one of the members is too stubborn for it ever to make it anywhere. Should I become a lawyer?

I'm only a sopre in high school, but I am trying to consider my options for the future and I am considering pursuing law. I like the idea of doing research to try to find solutions to problem and working with clients to figure out what the best option for them is, and I have always been a big fan of arguing my point against teachers and other clmates, but I am not great at public speaking, such as at a trial. Is there any chance I would be able to get a job that allows me to do the research or meet with clients or help to write testimonies without actually getting up in front of a court room? Also I am not really interested in joining a debate club or anything like that, I would prefer to be more "behind-the-scenes." I know I have a long time to think about this, but I am just wondering if I should pursue some sort of internship or something next summer or if there is no way I can make it through law school without getting up in front of a huge cl and having debates. So I moved into this apartment complex and all they let me get is DirecPath Internet and it caps out at 6mbps. YEAH horrible. I tried comcast, charter, at&t, direct tv, clear. I was selling my couches on Craigslist and a person wanted to buy them from Philadelphia (I'm from chicago) they sent me a check for the price of the couches and said they would take care of the shipping. Everything was fine I got the check, but never deposited into my account. A personal problem came up so I won't be able to sell them anymore and I told them that. I told them I still had the check and asked if they could send me their address so I can send them the check back. So they said I should still deposit it into my account and send them another check, which I'm not going to do because it's pointless. I told them that and then they told me that I'm lying and that they checked their account and it says I have taken the money and they will call the cops if I don't give the, their money back. I don't understand any of this because I still have the check and I'm not afraid of them calling the cops because I know I haven't taken their money.

Mom problems, please help!?

My first thought is that your Mom has not dealt with your Dad's death. There are 5 "stages" of dealing with the death of a loved one. Here's how they go: Denial (this isn't happening to me); Anger (why is this happening to me?; Bargaining (I promise I'll be a better person if....) ; Depression (I don't care anymore); Acceptance (I am ready to accept what has happened). Your Mom is most likely caught between Anger and Depression. Unfortunately, it's well known that the people we usually hurt the most, are the people that we LOVE the most. Strange, I know. The one thing you can TRY to do is have a sit down, heart to heart with her. It would be better if the two of you could get some counseling together, and possibly go to a grief support group (I have included a website for you to get info). You COULD ask your Mom to find a counselor for YOU to go to - tell her that you need some help dealing with some issues - and possibly the counselor could have your Mom come in to "talk" about you - but ultimately, get her into therapy WITH you. If you don't think that your Mom will listen to you when you talk to her - try writing her a letter. She MAY not even realize WHAT she is doing. You need to let her know how you FEEL. Don't accuse her of anything, don't blame her for anything - say something like, "It really makes me FEEL like you don't care about me. I really FEEL that I need to see a doctor, but I don't know how to make the appointment, or what a good time for you to take me would be. I FEEL like you act one way in front of people, but you act another way with me. I FEEL like you hate me, or that you blame me for Dad dying." You need to let her know how you FEEL about what she is doing. I know you said you went to the school's counselor and she called home to your Mom. Perhaps you can ask her to help YOU - you need some help in finding ways to deal with your Mom's outbursts on you, so that you don't get sick. Counselors can give you tools to work through things like that. In the end, the one thing that you should say is "I really FEEL like you and I could benefit from seeing a counselor together and going to a grief support group. I would really appreciate it if you would try to help me with this so I can feel better.' Good luck and if you need anything - or just someone to talk to - send me a note and I'll be here. My cat has a swollen cheek!? ?

It is like right where his little mussel thing meets his head. And the inside of his mouth has a little cut. What can I do? Any ideas on what it is? Don't say take him to the vet, cuz I can't and don't say if I can't you shouldn't have an animal because I use to be able to take him to the vet. He's seems to be fine, no meowing or anything he even let's me touch and press the bump and he doesn't back up meow or hiss. He hasn't lost his appetite and is still eating. Some people just don't like reading clic literature. The only thing I can tell you is keep trying! Maybe you just haven't found the right book yet. Try reading some of Charles Dickens' novels or trying reading Gone with the Wind. I'm currently reading that book, but it's not much of a horror. It is more of a historical fiction. Maybe you could try reading Frankenstein again, and try to find a quiet place to read. It's always easier to read when you're by yourself. Good luck.

I fell in love about a year ago and we were together for 8 months. Our relationship was strange to begin with. Before we dated I watched his friends make fun of him because he told them he wouldn't ever make love unless it was ACTUALLY making love. until he found out he was moving with his mom up to her family 12 hours away. A 12 hour space between a young couple in love is a lot to put on a relationship that is also being tested by death. We cried and cried, we didn't know what to do we talked about us getting jobs and spending all of our money on plain tickets to see each other every months. But when He couldn't find a job where he was moving and I couldn't find a job here it was out of the question. My parents told me they wouldn't let me drive down by my self and his mom wouldn't let him drive down by his self. They wouldn't drive us every month or every other month. His mom and my parents both agreed we could see each other fall break christmas and 2 times during the summer. That made things difficult. We were willing to do the long distance when we knew we could see each other every month but 4 times out of the year wasn't fair. He cried and I said this isn't fair he explained it like feeling like we were being pulled apart like two peaces of paper glued together peaces of the paper will always be on the other. He then told me he wanted me to experience my last year of high school with my friends and be able to date and not be tied down to someone who isn't ever there. He told me if he didn't care about me he would go threw with long distance which would hurt me more then breaking up in the long run. He told me he feels deep in his gut that we will end up together one way or another but that he wants me to live life and not be taken down by a broken person. After that I kind of ignored him until about two weeks before he moved in April when he called me and something inside me just made me pick up for the first time sense we split! We hung out and kissed good by and now we talk practically every day. And we talk about seeing ether when he comes down sometime this summer to see his Grandparents. But I just can't help but feeling this feeling deep in my gut that him and I will end up eventually like as in marry and have a family and he still tells me the same sometimes. So do you think it is possible that to people who once fell completely and madly in love but were torn apart could end up together in the end?

My friend introduced me to one of his best friends at our youth group, and we clicked. I don't really understand what you mean by "jammed". You should be able to floss by using the flossing tool (floss threader) that your dentist gave you (well he SHOULD have provided you with one). It should be a little plastic loop that you put floss through, and then you slide it through your braces so that you can properly floss. Here's a website with pictures to explain it better. If you're still unsure, then you should ask your dentist next time you go. I know when I had braces, I had monthly appointments. Good luck!

Hello there how are ya OK now lets start from the beginning shall we alright let's start from when I was a lad i remember how I would always get in trouble for daydreaming, not listening, and being lazy. Well that's what the teachers would tell my parents and I would get in trouble for it they basically told My parents is that I didn't care. but deep down I knew better I did not daydream on purpose and that I actually did care. I always had a hard time focusing, and concentrating and remembering things I have learned. which for the teachers were signs of me not caring but some teachers loved me and told me I had potential I'm just not living up to it (sad violin music plays in the background) thanks teach. anyhoes I remember I was given a test around in the 5 grade its was exactly like the wais test but I had the patterns the pics the blocks the arithmetic everything only difference was I had a reading part and I had a part where they would read out a sentence and I would match the sentence with the picture. after taking that test I remember being told that I had to go to another teacher and I'm like ok. I remember how the f making stopped I remember getting c's and I was so happy I felt smart for a change. blah blah blah moving on to middle school I remember getting easier test then the others extra time On ignments and some of the teachers would give me answers to the test. I loved the teachers now that's how to teach yes that's what ya call a good teacher. I remember in high school I would have very easy cles at a slow pace and still given special treatment. looking back I think they put people in cles that tested poorly on that test in special classes so special were the teachers gave the class answers before they took the test oh i adored the teachers it was beautiful. I did however have the classes were the teachers were hard and were I had to study . I cant learn anything I am not interested in I found myself making 40s and 50s on test that I didn't study for and for the test I did study for I made 20s and 30s um yeah I told myself to never study for another test again so I had to cheat. whenever I go to study my mind leaves me and I start to daydream sometimes I don't even know I do it all I know is that I am out of it. I could never learn from teachers due to my short attention span and my lack of focusing and remembering. this is where my depression began I felt dumb and inferior to others around me and was treated dumb then my anxiety happened. I became suicidal B/c of how I could n't learn on my own I had to cheat or be given the answers I can remember small stuff not but a lot of stuff. not only that I'm disorganized I was the one with the messy desk I remember being the one with the messy cubby hole. I always missEd place things like my hw, my keys, my clothes shoes, everything. I have like four piles of stuff in my room now I believe I have a room mate B/c I can hear snoring at night. I have always had a disorganized problem ever since I was little. I love to daydream its my fave thing to do I say I daydream like 85 percent of the day I'd rather stay at home and daydream then go shopping or to the movies or anything else. I'm doing a program where you follow a guideline that supposed to make you able to do 100 push ups consecutively and 200 sit ups consecutively in 6 weeks. How does the Darwin's evolutionary theory and the big bang theory disprove the intelligent design theory ?

I've been wondering this for a while because to my knowledge theorys have yet to be proven themselves. Also these two theorys describe the processes by which things may have happened to make things as they are now. Where as intelligent design states that something intelligent caused it to happen. It would be like saying that a dinner table wasn't man made due to the fact that we can explain how it was made. It seems to me that evolution and the big bang theory in fact support intelligent design because it seems to me that if something intelligent did create everything that other intelligent beings would be able to explain how it was done. And If it wasn't done by something intelligent we probably would be unable to explain it. The sky would be green the ground clear that type of thing.

Running half marathon on Saturday and just got my period?????? PLEASE help!!!?

Hey guys! :) I am 15 and in two days am running a half marathon. The WORST possible scenario is for me to get my period, and today I started seeing little drops of blood in my panties :( The last time I had my period, it was SO heavy that I was bleeding through like 7 maxi pads a day, and I was throwing up and everything (fevering, etc). It was probably the worst, most painful 11 days of my life (AND my periods last forEVER!) If this is what is going to happen for the next couple days, there is NO way I will be able to run this half marathon! I have already paid 50 dollars for everything, and have been so excited, and I am going to cry if I am miserable because of my stupid old period that day!! Plus, if I DO have my period, what am I going to do on race day?? I tried my first tampon last period, and I am still not comfortable with them at all, so that's not really an option, and then wearing a HUGE maxi pad for four hours (while running and sweating and everything) does NOT sound too fun at ALL! My 10 year old has poor study habits, any advice?

I'm at the end of my sopre year in high school, and all through the lower grades I had no trouble with keeping up, never studied, and did great. Math isn't my strong suit, so that is something I have needed to start studying for, but besides that I don't have too much trouble. Sometimes a big test will come along in something that has a lot of memorization, but the way I remember things is by writing them down once or twice, and then I'm good to go. Mostly I only ever study for midterms and finals. I know I'm not a parent and it might not be my place to say so, but if he's doing good right now, it might be best to let him be. He sounds like a smart kid, and when the time comes he will probably realize if he needs to look things over every now and again. And if he doesn't at first, he will after getting a not so hot test grade, and kick it into gear the next time. At least that's how I was. Hope I helped!

Are there any professionals here to help me deal with my fear of flying - Turbulence?

Hey guys. I'm 14 years old and ever since I was 8, I've wanted to visit Canada. Downside..I have to take a 14-hour flight to get there. :/ I'm not scared of engine failure or anything like that because I know commercial airplanes can just glide to safety, or operate on one engine, or if a system fails because they have redundancies. But my biggest fear is turbulence. I used to enjoy it when I was little until a guy on the internet who identified himself as a reigonal airline pilot told me that turbulence can overstress the wings or fuselage, breaking them off, causing the plane to crash (the person in question referenced a 'BOAC' Boeing 707 flight in the 60's which tore apart in clear air turbulence) or turbulence causing the plane to loose flight controls (elevator, ailerons, engines etc. ) another is thunderstorms/downdrafts & updrafts, (never liked either of them on the ground, to be honest!) since it's transatlantic there MAY be a chance I'll have to fly through a thunderstorm. again, if that happens I'm afraid the airplane will not be able to take it, and come apart. I really want to visit Canada, I really do. cruise ship is not an option, as I get sea sick very badly. but now my friends know I'm scared of flying, they've been making fun of me for it, and making me feel more scared so I was just wondering if there's any real pilots within this forum to help me, because I'd sure appreciate it very much

I don't quite know how to write this and I don't know if it will make any sense, but here it goes...Ok so today I was down town with two of my pals and the sun was splitting the stones. Which in my country is very rare! Anyway..as we made our way down town I began to notice that nearly every single guy my age who was wearing a t-shirt was build as hell. I mean these guys had mive arms, shoulders, and were all in really good shape. Everywhere I looked lads were walking around with these great bodies, and for the first time in my life I felt really self-conscious about my own. I'm a lads lad through and through and am the least vain person in the world, but as I watched these guys walk the streets with their hot girlfriends, I thought to myself "I want a body like that" and then thought "I want a body like Brad Pitt". I had to slap myself and realize that I just feel out of place because I am different. But instead of embracing my difference I wanted to conform myself to the way everybody else was. The way the guys in the Armani ad campaigns are with their perfect bodies and washboard abs. Is this normal? I mean should I embrace my different type of body?my scranny bod, and if so why? Guys can be very jealous creatures, he's probably just feeling bitter because he knows you'd be able to get with other people if you wanted. Just make it clear to him that he's the one you want and he'll probably be glad to hear the words. Im pregnant and not showing and just started a new job today how can I tell them?

I'm 21 years old turning 22 in july and I am 5 1/2 months pregnant. I had an unplanned pregnancy but I don't regret making the decision of being a mom. I recently got fired from my job at radioshack because of a disagreement with my boss who used to be my fellow sales ociate he fired me. I feel like I am a single mother because my boyfriend is doing very little to make me feel less stressed. He work because I was lucky to send his resume to a couple jobs. I am so stressed out because I just startred a new job as a car insurance customer service representative. I havent notified my job because I am not showing to much. I dont even know how to tell them. It is a start up company and I dont know how I would be able to quit and not have anyone to take care of my son. As for maternity leave I'm not sure what benefit await me. I am so scared they might fire me. I want to be there for my son and dont feel right leaving him with childcare. Does anyone have any thought words of wisdom. please

I can completely relate to what you're going through. You need to talk to him and explain to him how you feel. Tell him that you want to be with him and love the way he is with you, but he needs to be honest if you too are going to continue your relationship. He has to grow up sometime, it may take leaving him for a short time to get it through his head, but if you really explain that you are about to leave him over this, it may help him to get it together a bit quicker. I did this with my boyfriend & had to leave him a few times for him actually to understand how serious I was, but he finally figured it out and he's changing into a much more balanced person now. I know that Apple has just come out with the new Mac OS X Lion software, which will be available in July. My Macbook Pro is currently running Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8). When it is available, I would like to update it to the new OS X Lion. Can I upgrade straight from OS X Leopard to OS X Lion? I know there is OS X Snow Leopard in between, so would I have to upgrade to that software before being able to upgrade to the newest software (OS X Lion)? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Anyone hate boys? Help me with my break up!?

So I been with this guy for 3 years. He broke up with me on Monday. During our relationship, he has been "unsure of what he wants" TWICE. And TWICE, he came back to me, and TWICE I took him back. This Monday, he told me that he needed to work. And that he "doesnt know what he wants" AGAIN. For the third time, I went a little crazy. I started saying things like "I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN." But, none of what I said is true. I dont mean any of it. And I knew he did not want to break my heart. I had to force it out of him to say "I dont think we should be together anymore." He kept saying he wasnt sure, and I had to say, don't put me on this path of doubt again. just tell me what you gotta say. My mother had to pull me apart from him. And he shed a tear, held back his emotions, got up and looked me, apologized and left. After he left, I kept calling him.I did not know what to do. He ended up calling me that night. We said hi, then it was dead silent for 10 minutes. So I hung up. What does this guy want? Do I wait? He did not tell me he didnt love me or care about me. So i feel that I still have a reason to wait. At the same time, he has not returned any of my call since he called me. Later that night, he also texted me saying "I dont want to hurt you, Please understand where I'm coming from. Get some sleep. Goodnight." I walked to his doorstep the next day to return a book, and rang the bell, and he ignored everything. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT HE WANTS. Also, it is now thursday, and he has not yet changed his facebook status or pictures, and I know for a fact he has been on facebook. This all started because I felt that he was not putting any effort into the relationship anymore. All these mixed signals are driving me crazy. I know what i want. I want him back, But i do not know whether or not that is the right thing to do. I know i still love him. And i need to hear from him that he does not love me for me to be able to completely move on...I need some help from some wise adults. I need help and advice from experienced people. I know it is not the end of the world, but it sure as hell feels like it. All i have been doing is crying and constantly checking facebook to see if he has changed anything. I feel like I can cry forever.

Why do i feel like people are looking at me and laughing at me?

i cant seem to stop feeling like people are looking at me. whenever i am out in twon or anywere else i seem to notice loads of poeple looking and staring at me and i walked past a lad and a l today n both of them looked at me then the lad said something at the girl laughed and when i was on the bus there were two people and i felt like they kept turning round to look at me then talking and laughing. i dont know if there is something wrong with the way i look and if peope are really looking and laughing at me or weather it is just me being paranoid.

ok so here it all is. I can't talk to people...hot women mostly. I can't even look them in the eye without feeling anxiety. more than that though I feel like i'm not good enough. no matter how much i try to change my outlook i always feel sad and alone. I always feel like i will be sad and alone. self help and pick up books don't help. I just freak out and think things will go bad. I'm insanly paranoid when i get into a relationship and im paranoid about even talking to people. even if i know i'll never see them again i clam up. everything in my head just shuts down. I also feel like my friends would lie to me and betray me. for example, tonight, I asked this girl to chill. but she has a crush on my friend. I invited her over to his place to see what would happen but never got an answer. he texted her just to see what she would say. she texted him back but he says she wasn't coming over. he has to work early and he told me she said she was busy. he knows i have issues and i wonder if she was coming over and he was just sheltering me. to be honest, its not a 'crush' its more like 'I want to tap that ***'. yes it sounds like messing with you people but i'm not. i'm just a terrible person. the point is i have a serious phobia of women. and extreme paranoia about anything involving women. I want to be able to have a decent looking gf (yes i'm shallow but i'm 20. i think i'm allowed to be for a few year) I just don't know what to do I'm miserable. most of all because all of my childhood friends find it so easy to talk to and be friends with women. I never have. Ever. I've been getting more and more shy my whole life. I'm at the point now where i don't want to do anything. I just want to sit inside and hide from the world.
