Will someone create a new literary monster?

All of those books were a reflection of the events that were occurring during the time. I think that the advent of evolutionism, the death of the creationist theory, and the fear of how these new ideas would change the society during the Victorian fin de siecle influenced works such as Shelley's Frankenstein and Stevenson's Dr Hyde. Furthermore, Stoker was plagued by a fear of the future (technology and industrialization) as well as the fear of racial integration, thus the creation of his masterpiece, Dracula. So, if we were to create a new monster, it would have to reflect our current fears and/or desires. Perhaps, this is why we have robotic monsters? Terminator, Robocop, Matrix, etc.
