What places are worth going to in newcastle for a weekend out?

im going 18 in 2 week and ive already booked a weekend in Newcastle in August. we are traveling up on the thursday so we will be wanting a quiet drink (5 lads) some where. we will then be going all out friday and saturday night clubbing being a a party animal basicly. so im wondering which places are worth going to for 5 lads looking to have a great time? also how much spending money would you recommend for thursday night in a pub a bit of shopping food and clubbing? thanks
