Better internet? Help! (faster?)?

So I moved into this apartment complex and all they let me get is DirecPath Internet and it caps out at 6mbps. YEAH horrible. I tried comcast, charter, at&t, direct tv, clear. All of these internets either didn't go above 6mbps or I wasn't "allowed" to get their service. My question is. I have a docsis2 modem and I was wondering if any of you know any good universal companies I might be able to get that offer better plans. BTW, i live in sugar hill georgia. Or does anyone know how to uncap my modem so i can get better speeds?
