Help with a book title?

I have been reading Clic novels (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde/Main Street/Robinson Crusoe) and she was telling me that there is a story about how a group of kids got lost somewhere, and they broke up into two groups. They would battle each other and one got killed and they ended up eating him. I have no clue so I'm coming here for help
