Is this a good thesis for the Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?

The monism of Christianity and a Christian society repressed Dr. Jekyll’s natural tendencies towards dualism and caused him to create Mr. Hyde as an outlet for the darker side of his character.
