How to reinvent myself for the coming school year? ?

I'm a seventh grader and this coming August I'm going into eighth grade. I want to reinvent myself because I was teased last year for liking to read and write, being a cheerleader, for bumping hard in volleyball (I can't control it), and not being a tomboy. I don't want to get rid these traits I just want to be able to defend myself if they tease me. Anyone think they could help me out? Don't say go to a teacher or adult either because my mom knows and its not enough to make me cry or anything.
